Posting to 11 Social Media Platforms Without Losing Your Mind

A practical guide for photographers who want to post everywhere without spending hours resizing, cropping, and uploading to each platform individually.

· 4 min read

Instagram wants a 4:5 portrait. Stories need 9:16. LinkedIn looks best at 1.91:1. TikTok is vertical. Pinterest is vertical but taller. Facebook accepts almost anything but compresses it badly if you don't size it right.

If you're a photographer trying to stay visible across multiple platforms, you already know the math. One photo becomes six crops, six uploads, and six slightly different captions. Multiply that by a few posts a week and you've got a part-time job that has nothing to do with photography.

The real problem isn't posting — it's formatting

Most photographers don't struggle to decide what to post. They struggle with the busywork that comes after. Exporting a final edit from Lightroom or Capture One is quick. But then you're opening Photoshop to crop for Stories, saving a separate version for the feed, maybe making a wider crop for LinkedIn, and doing it all again for the next image.

StudioFlows handles the formatting automatically. Upload a photo to the dashboard and it generates the correct crop for every platform you're connected to — feed posts, Stories, Reels, and everything else. You can also upload your own pre-cropped versions if you want full control over a specific platform's framing.

One caption, with overrides where you need them

Write one caption and it goes to all 11 platforms. But Instagram and LinkedIn are different audiences, so you can override the caption on any individual platform. Add hashtags for Instagram, keep it buttoned-up for LinkedIn, go casual on Threads. It all happens on one screen before you hit publish.

The 11 platforms

StudioFlows currently supports Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Google Business Profile, and Reddit. You connect each account once through OAuth and token refresh is handled automatically — no reconnecting every few weeks.

You don't have to use all 11. Most photographers start with 3 or 4 and add more over time. The scheduler only posts to the platforms you've connected.

Built for photographers, not marketers

Generic schedulers like Buffer or Later are designed for marketing teams managing brand accounts. They work fine for text posts and stock photos, but they don't understand photographer workflows.

StudioFlows starts from the photo. Upload your edited images and the platform figures out the rest — what size each platform needs, which formats to generate, and how to publish without quality loss. There's also a built-in design studio for creating Instagram carousels, branded content, and testimonial graphics directly from your dashboard.

What a typical week looks like

Export your edited photos from Lightroom or Capture One. Upload them to your StudioFlows dashboard. Write your captions, adjust any platform-specific overrides, and schedule or publish immediately. The whole process takes a few minutes per post instead of 30+ minutes of manual resizing and uploading.

If you batch your content — say, scheduling a week's worth of posts on Monday morning — you can realistically manage 11 platforms in under an hour per week.
