Troubleshooting
Not receiving Discord notifications
- Test the webhook: Click "Test Notification" in settings
- Check webhook URL: Make sure it's the full URL starting with
https://discord.com/api/webhooks/ - Verify channel: Check the webhook is set to the correct channel
- Check Discord permissions: Ensure the webhook has permission to post
- Regenerate webhook: If still not working, create a new webhook
Not receiving Slack notifications
- Test the webhook: Click "Test Notification" in settings
- Check URL format: Should start with
https://hooks.slack.com/services/ - App still active: Check the app wasn't removed in Slack
- Channel exists: Verify the channel wasn't deleted or renamed
- Regenerate webhook: Create a new webhook if needed
Not receiving email notifications
- Check spam folder: Most common issue
- Verify email address: Make sure it's correct in settings
- Add to contacts: Add
notifications@studioflows.app - Check email provider: Some providers (like company email) may block external senders
- Try different email: Test with a Gmail or personal email
Test notification works but real ones don't
- Check notification settings: Ensure the specific notification type is enabled
- Check quiet hours: Make sure you're not in quiet hours
- Check timezone: Verify your timezone is set correctly
- Wait for trigger: Some notifications only fire on specific events
Best Practices
For Discord
- Create a dedicated server for business notifications
- Use separate channels for different notification types (#leads, #social, #billing)
- Set notification preferences per channel to control what alerts you
- Install the mobile app for on-the-go notifications
For Email
- Use a dedicated email address for business notifications
- Set up filters to organize StudioFlows emails
- Consider email-to-SMS services if you want text alerts
General Tips
- Test your notifications after any settings change
- Set appropriate quiet hours so you're not disturbed at night
- Review notification settings periodically—disable what you don't need
- Keep webhook URLs secure and regenerate if compromised
